In certain circumstances we may request the prescription from the customer to ensure accuracy of the details that have been provided to us.
The customer must be over the age of 16 and legally permitted to purchase spectacles.
The customer must not be registered as blind or partially sighted.
On request the customer must confirm they are entitled legally to acquire prescription spectacles.
The customer providing the details such as address, contact and payment details agrees that these are all up to date and correct.
The prescription provided must be signed by a registered Optometrist or registered medical practitioner and must not be older than 2 years from the date written on the prescription. It must have the correct details on the prescription.
The company will not take any responsibility for incorrect input of information provided by the customer when ordering spectacles.
MyGlassesGuru will rely completely on the prescription provided.
It is recommended that you discuss with your Optician to obtain your (pupillary distance) or PD before ordering your spectacles so that the we have the correct number on your form to produce your spectacles. If however you are unable to obtain your PD from your Optician then we have a "measuring your PD" section which can assist you to gain an accurate result or we can use a default PD figure but on occasion may wish to contact you for an accurate PD before we make up your spectacles.
Availability and Description of Goods
Items that are unable to be supplied to the consumer will not be charged to them. We are not responsible for any loss to the consumer or responsible for the damage of goods during the delivery process.
All products advertised on the website are as accurate as possible on the description of the item.
Photographs presented on the website are for illustrated purposes only and may not match exactly the product supplied to the consumer.
The website allows that 4 frames as a maximum can be purchased. If more frames are required then contact us to discuss requirement and to verify payment details.
All prices illustrated on the website are correct at that time of display. We reserve the right to alter prices without notice but this does not affect customers who have made payment for spectacles priory to the price change.
All prices are inclusive of 20% VAT and is charged to any customer residing in the UK or EU.
Postage and Packaging
Postage and packaging is free in the UK for up to 2 pairs of spectacles sent together to the same address.
Payment must be made when ordering spectacles.
The following means of payment are accepted, credit cards Visa/MasterCard/Switch/Maestro/PayPal/Amex.
The card issuer must authorise all payments if these are declined we are not liable for non delivery of products.
We do not accept any responsibility for any misuse of a customer credit card, any use of which is at their own risk.
Once payment has been made items will be dispatched.
Payments must be in GBP sterling.
Exchange rates are subject to change dependant on credit and bank card rates and the consumer is responsible for these changes.
Delivery of Goods
All products will be delivered to the consumer once payment has been received to the address specified by the customer on the order form.
We intend to deliver the products in the shortest time possible, but will not be responsible for late delivery before cessation of a 30 day period of any item ordered by the consumer through the website caused by a third party.
If delivery is unable to be met within the agreed time period another time will be arranged for delivery.
If for any reason not due to MyGlassesGuru acceptance of goods has not been made in this time period we may charge you for any direct costs which are reasonable such as storage, additional insurance or delivery.
Any damage occurred to the product once this has been received by the customer it will then be the customers responsibility.
Any goods that are delivered must be inspected by the customer carefully. If there is any reason why the goods are not believed to be of the standard expected the customer must inform us of the problem and not use the product.
If the customer returns a product to MyGlassesGuru we will not pay for any costs involved. We will not arrange for any product to be collected from the customer address to MyGlasseGuru. The customer should use a method of delivery where they have proof that goods have been sent by them and received by MyGlassesGuru. MyGlassesGuru will not offer any refund for products that has not arrived at the "returns address"
If the customer is unsatisfied with the product delivered they have 14 days to return the item.
This will not affect their statutory rights.
If any item delivered is damaged while in the possession of the consumer we will not accept any responsibility and as a result no refund or alternative will be given.
Warranty and Liability
Once the product has been received we will not be liable for any damages caused by the customer.
We will not be liable to any person for loss or damage that may arise from the use of products advertised on our website.
All the information and materials within this website are provided on an "as is" basis without warranty. MyGlassesGuru do not represent or warrant any information accessible at this site is accurate , complete or current or that the site will be error free or uninterrupted.
MyGlassesGuru, it's employees, agents or sub contractors are not liable to the customer for any business interruption or any loss be that profit, data, contracts,goodwill use or savings.
There is nothing in these Terms and Conditions that excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from any negligence or any breach of the statutory implied terms as to title of goods or for fraud or any other liability which by law we are not permitted to limit or exclude.
Any physical damage caused to your property through our negligence ( our employees, agents, sub contractors) will not in any circumstance exceed £10,000.
All other cases our complete and total liability including employees, agents, sub contractors whether in contract, tort and breech of statutory duty or otherwise will not exceed the price of the goods and services to the relating claim.
Any replacement lenses under warranty will only be given to the exact specification as the original pair. These lenses supplied originally by MyGlassesGuru will be supplied free of charge and in instances where tinted or light reactive lenses are supplied with a scratch on one lens a pair of lenses will be replaced. The warranty will start on the day the product has been sent from MyGlassesGuru. The warranty does not included rimless mounts or frames.
Cookies are pieces of information that are transferred to your computers hard disc for purposes of record keeping. When you visits MyGlassesGuru you will receive a cookie which will help MyGlassesGuru to recognise you as unique to the site. This information will allow MyGlassesGuru to develop content or advertisements matching your interests. We are unable to identify you personally in this way.
We at MyGlassesGuru are committed to providing the consumer with secure on line buying and protecting privacy.
MyGlassesGuru will ensure that our employees, agents and sub contractors comply at all times with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 concerning data received from you relating to this contract and will only process the data that is received from you necessary to fulfil our obligations under this contract.
MyGlassesGuru may at any time subcontract part or any of this contract to a third person,
firm or company.
Discount Codes Voucher Codes.
Promotional codes may occasionally be offered with respect to any or specific goods bought through the website.
Conditions relating to the codes will be specified at the time of issue.
Terms and conditions on these codes relate to all MyGlassesGuru promotions, competitions and voucher codes unless stated otherwise.
Only one promotional code can be used per order of goods.
After an order has been place a promotional code cannot be used.
